Bill Milligan
2012-01-03To this day any mention of the Philadelphia Phillies makes me think of Bill Milligan, the only Phillies fan I have ever known. Our junior high science fair project may have flopped, but that didn't faze us, due to the fun we had with it. A welcome familiar face in fourth-period freshman algebra the first day at DHS, we went to lunch together, met up with Mark Verbofsky, and we became the three lunch musketeers, sitting together every day the entire school year. Sadly, they are both gone, so we can never reminisce about how skilled at matchbox football we became. Bill was an unpretentious, easy-going, comfortable-in-his-own-skin sort of guy whom I would expect always remained that way.
